Privacy and data

motors.wales collects only the information needed to run accounts, protect the community, answer contributions and understand aggregate readership.

Accounts

We store your email address, display name, password hash, security records, saved stories, comments and submissions. We never store a readable password. Account data can be downloaded or deleted from your member area; published comments are anonymised when an account is removed.

Analytics

Our first-party measurements count pages, dates, referring domains and broad device classes. They do not create advertising profiles, store raw IP addresses or set an analytics identifier.

Editorial material

Press releases, sources and contribution licences are retained for editorial accountability. Declined contributions and unused media are removed after six months; unused press attachments are removed sooner.

Use the contact page for access, correction, deletion or privacy questions. Production launch requires the operator’s legal identity, registered contact details and final retention schedule to be inserted here.
